Buy The Album When I Drop It: Idle Mind - Whatupvern (Produced by Kil)

To be honest, I can't tell you how long I've known my bro Vern but it seems like we've been rocking with each other since day one. We've always connected here and there on music. Any time a black man lost his life to police brutality, we'd always swoop and and drop a banger speaking on that situation. If fact we've done so many of those jawns we could drop an EP with just those songs! This past April I was gonna be out in Cali for a week and we were gonna link up and record a song and shoot a video since I was out in his neck of the woods, so I sent him about 40-50 beats to pick ONE from but that one turned into 3 which quickly turned into 5.

Buy The Album When I Drop It: Dilla Time Beat Tape - Produced by Kil

Last Thursday I got the new book "Dilla Time" about my fave GOAT producer J Dilla and I won't hold ya'll...I can't remember the last time I've been THIS hype to read a book! Tee & Nay were in NYC for the weekend so I knew I had from Friday to Sunday to bang this out! The only problem was after every 20-30 pages I was got SOOOOOOOO inspired, I'd end up making a beat! I posted the first one I made Friday night & my guy Sko Nice  was like that would be a dope concept for a beat tape! To be honest I tdidn't think anything about it because I didn't think I'd be making anymore beats cause now I was REALLY gonna dive into this book! But 48 hours later, I'm taking Sko up on his advice cause now I have 6 beats that have all been cooked up after being inspired by reading about Dilla! So check out my newest beat tape (been a minute since I dropped one) "Dilla Time Beat Tape!" Trust me ya'll...these jawns are DOOOOOOOOOOPE!

Buy The Album When I Drop It: A Dei 2 Kil - Lupus Dei (Produced by Kil)

A minute ago on twitter I said that if I'm doing a project with a MC and I have to do all of the beats, mix all of the songs, design the album cover, shoot the videos, edit those videos AND promote the album then we're splitting the profits 80/20 and maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan did MC's lose their F&$KING minds! But throughout all of the BS mu guy Lupus stepped to me like "I think we'd be able to cook up something dope together and I'll do the 80/20 split." And just like we've got "A Dei 2 Kil" cooked up for ya'll and trust me when I tell ya'll this jawn is BANANAS! And for all of the folk who lost their natural born minds over the 80/20 split ya'll will be happy to know Dei handled his end of the BI with this album so we're spitting the profits 50/50.

Buy The Album When I Drop It: Adolescent Tape - Mussie

Back in February my college roommate KG hit me like "Kil...I got this 17 year old kid who's nasty but needs some direction & beats." And I won't hold ya'll...it went in one ear and right out the other cause if I had a dollar for everytime someone hits me like "I got the next dope MC" & 9 times outta 10 they're aiight at best, I could literally quit my job, sit at home all day and watch The Wire & the Sopranos all day long. But becuase it was KG who's NEVER cosigned ANYBODY like this I told him to bring him through the crib and when he did I was blown away! There was no way in the world that this cat could be 17 spittin' like this. Every beat I put on dude annihilated & I was picking some of my "3000 beats" (beats that aren't necessarily my regular boom bap, basically stuff I would play for Andre 3000 if I ever got the chance) and he was STILL killing those jawns! So fast forward 4 months and after numerous studio sessions we've finally got his debut album "Adolescent Tape" produced by Dre & yours truly and mixed and mastered by Professor H on tap to cop from all of your favorite streaming sites so prayerfully you'll support a very DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPE piece of music! The Promo: Brooklyn Nigga Part 2 - K Fanat (Produced by Kil)

When we were recording Fanat's album "Rightbackatit" we recorded anywhere between 25-30 songs and ended up picking the top 14 that fit the vibe we wanted the album to have. "Brooklyn Nigga Part 2" (we had a part 1 but the beat didn't fit the right vibe of the song...see it's all about the "right vibe" ya'll) didn't make the cut but trust and believe that it wasn't because it wasn't a BANGER (cause this is easily one of my fave songs me & Fanat cooked up) but again it just didn't fit the vibe of the album. But I didn't wanna let something this dope to never get heard so check out "BK Nigga Part 2" recorded waaaaaaaay back in 2011!

So first up to bat for the young spitter is his first single "VA" off his mixtape produced by Professor H & yours truly!

Buy The Album When I Drop It: Insight Onsite - Deuce Hennessy (Produced by Kil & Charlie Chan)
