At the top of the year, we did an ep of my podcast Apt. 5B saluting the last decade of music. Our top 5 albums, slept on album, the dopest MC and the dopest producer of the last decade and when we got to the producer segment of the show it was a no brainer for me that the dopest producer of the last 10 years has been Alcehmist. I personally believe he's been the dopest producer since the new millennium if we're being honest. The funny thing is I know A LOT of folk who disagree with me on my ALC pick and trust & believe, I of ALL people know music speaks to us all differently BUT I truly believe that most folk don't know and realize how much DOOOOOOOOOPE music ALC has his fingerprints all over this past decade. From doing beats for Dilated Peoples, Benny the Butcher and the ENTIRE Griselda crew, Currensy & Freddie Gibbs to Sean P, Roc Mari, Royce, The Step Brothers (him & Ev), Gangrene (him & Oh No) and not to mention all of his dolo projects he dropped!
