Chrisette Michele is EASILY one of my favorite singers post 2000 but the crazy thing is when she first dropped, I couldn't stand shorty! Now don't get it twisted it wasn't her music or nuthin' like that. It was namely because of the hype around her about how she was the "new" Billie Holiday/Ella Fitzgerald and I hate THOSE kinda comparisons so I never even bothered to check her out. That is til I heard her single "Love Is You" and I flat out fell in love with shorty's music. And by the time her sophomore album "Epiphany" dropped I was a straight up & down Chrisette Michele groupie. And don't even get me started on her fourth album "Better." So with her fifth album "Milestone" on deck, I figured it's no time better then the present to salute shorty was a mixtape with some of my fave Chrisette BANGERS on tap!
