Timbo The King Mixtape

There have only been 3 producers who have literally stopped me from what I was doing and make that "what the fuck face." And that's Primo, Dilla and Timbaland. The first time I heard a Timbo track I was in my man's Osei's studio working on some music and Aaliyah's "One In A Million" video came on and EVERYBODY stopped whatever we were doing and were all like "what the fuck?" It literally looked like we all were playing freeze tag and got frozen! The second time Timbo stopped me, I was driving my uncle's Acura back in Philly coming from the northeast and Aaliyah's "Are You That Somebody" came on the radio and I literally pulled over like "what the fuck? Is that a baby?!?!?!?" The next time Timbo stopped me (yeah, I can do this for days with Timbo) I was at my apartment watching videos and Nelly Furtado's "Promiscuous" came on and again, I was like "WHAT THE FUCK?!?!?!" Now, I always gotta explain this last one for folk cause I know "Promiscuous" wasn't the monster that "One In A Million" and "Are You That Somebody" was but cats gotta realize that when that dropped, NOBODY and I do mean nobody was doing the whole 80's synth thing that everybody is NOW doing 8 years later. So, yeah even "Promiscuous" was a what the fuck moment. And even though Timbo has had co-producers like Danja and J Roc in his back pocket through some of those hits, dude is still the man behind the machine.
