Live From the Writer's Bench: What Do We Expect From Hip Hop In The Wake of Mike Brown's Murder?

Posted On Monday, September 1, 2014

On this week's ep of Live From the Writer's Bench we chop it up about do we have any expectations of hip hop in the wake of Mike Brown's Murder and if so, what are those expectations? We also chop it up about police brutality and has affected us as black men, who the "new" black leaders should be and how our first episode dealt with the Trayvon Martin murder a year ago and now a year later our anniversary show deals with Mike Brown's murder. One of our most thought proving eps under our belts but still a VERY dope show! Also, me and Beezo introduce our "Hands Up 63135" project where we're challenging MC's, poets, singers, etc. to get busy over 10 of our tracks and create some music that's positive and speaks to the Mike Brown murder, police violence, the black on black violence in our communities, etc. Check out the project out here...

And for folk who prefer to listen on the go, you can stream it below. Also, check out some of our other episodes on our You Tube Channel and subscribe!
