For this week's episode of my podcast The Corner Radio, me & my R&B co-op Kaye & JR we're asking the question is Mary J. Blige REALLY that dope? And don't get it twisted ya'll...we ALL love Mary to death but let's keep it 100. She's NOT the dopest singer. And she's NOT the dopest dancer or performer. So then why do we talk about her like she's the dopest thing since Herc invented hip hop? We're also chopping it up about singers who aren't the best but with dope production & songwriting, they become stars but at the same time you've got some really great singers but without dope production and songwriting can't blow up. And then we answer the question, who would you rather be the dope singer who can't blow up or the subpar singer who becomes a star. Plus I FINALLY put to bed any vicious lies & deadly rumors that I don't rock with Anthony Hamilton when I'm saying that his songwriting is subpar at best!
